What is the point of education?

The notion that we might have to help our students develop an understanding of the links between education and careers might seem strange. But there is a lot of evidence to suggest this is exactly what needs to be done.

Indeed, it could be said that we need to broaden student horizons by educating them about the wide range of opportunities that are available in the world of work.

Career Detectives – a board game for use in schools – aims to do just this by providing a range of stimulating information about careers across all sectors within the context of a set of activities that can be completed in the classroom.
