A2 Geography Revision Guide: unit 3 Contested Planet

This 110 page revision guide is one of a series of low-cost downloads that has been produced for A level students. The guides are written for the Edexcel syllabus, but are usable by students following other courses too.

The booklet, which may be printed out and copied for all student to have, or which can be put onto the school learning platform, costs just £10 plus VAT. It includes revision notes and activities on energy insecurity, water conflict, biodiversity under threat, superpower geographies, bridging the development gap and technological fixes.

Throughout there are summaries of what the student needs to know, the key terms (supply shock, renewable resources, carbon credit etc etc), and numerous illustrations to help the student understand key points.

The aim throughout is to help the student get to the core of the matter and grasp the basic elements of the subject, building up his/her knowledge and certainty around the subject.

A typical page centres of the California Case Study which looks at why the USA has an energy crisis, and then from there, why California is suffering an energy crisis.
